Operação Praia Limpa 2019
Launched in 2017, in conjunction with the "Operação Montanha Verde", the "Operação Praia Limpa" is part of the "Together We Protect" environmental responsibility initiative and aims to remove, along several kilometers (at the level of the coastal strip and marine debris), the debris of human origin that should never be found on our beaches - but which are becoming more omnipresent, numerous and dangerous.
This year, "Operação Praia Limpa" will try to triple its action, involving beaches of three municipalities. We will try to make Silves, Albufeira and Lagoa a bit more free of plastics, cigarette buts, cans, traces of fishing gear, parts of boats, pieces of appliances, among many others.
Lipton and Águas do Algarve SA join this year's initiative as partners, as well as the "ODS Portugal Alliance", which rejoins Zoomarine in this environmental event that unites families, friends and colleagues of all ages in a action of mutual aid, fun, education for sustainability and, of course, respect for nature.
On the 12th of May, we would like to welcome you in Silves, Albufeira and Lagoa, in defense of our natural heritage. Can we count on your smile, with some of your time and with your friendly hand?
Registration
This year, we will focus our efforts on three distinct municipalities (Albufeira, Silves and Lagoa). We want this initiative to be increasingly shared.
It will be up to each volunteer to decide which location suits them best. The important thing is to participate.

Important Information

Wear comfortable and appropriate clothing and footwear, hat and sunscreen (high UV index);

If accompanied by children, please make sure they are constantly watched, since the organization can not assume this responsibility;

Wear gloves provided;

During beach cleaning, avoid dune areas and wave burst;

Stay safe, taking care of dangerous objects;

Choose to bring a reusable water bottle instead of the usual plastic bottle;

Have fun and enjoy this morning in Nature!
